I want an SSR. I usually hate convertibles, but something about the SSR is so bizarre and interesting that I just like it. Especially with the LS. I know it’s basically just a Trailblazer SS with a convertible top and a truck bed, but still.

Kinja'd!!!

You could also get a manual in an SSR, but I’m not sure that would even suit the character of it. It’s not a performance car. It’s a cruising/touring car. An SSR could probably make a really good road trip car, especially because of all the stuff you could get in the truck bed.

Heaven forbid you need any non-LS related parts, I imagine.

The T56 is a big difference IMO.

I think they’re neat. The wheels are awful, but the rest of the package is novel. I would consider one.

I just never could get myself to like the SSR. They took the at-the-time trend of making new vehicles that invoked classic lines. But in this example, it winds up looking like a cartoon caricature of an old-timey truck.

I hate them, but in the way where I also sort of like them if that makes any sense?

I highly encourage you to do it, but you should do it right, get the fast one with a manual.

It’s not quite as bad as you would think. Body panels, glass, and some of the bigger interior pieces are probably troublesome, but most of the rest of the SSR is composed of Trailblazer components with some Corvette and other GM parts mixed in.
